Requirements

  • Current Driver's license.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 - 50 pounds.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High school diploma or general education degree GED.
  • Follow instructions without close supervision.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Required to pass a background screen, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for communicating and working with Westgate vendors such as Resort Recreation and Tourism
  • Manage and Facilitate products and services for Activities/ Events.
  • Coordinate activity and special event programs using themed concepts.
  • Assist in set-up and breakdown for special events.
  • Organize and update department files.
  • Plan parties for owners, guests, and team members.
  • Formulate an environment, which will increase team members' morale, and motivation, and promote team spirit.
  • Take charge of the department in the absence of the director.
  • Purchase and pick up supplies and equipment when necessary.
  • Order, inventory, and distribute logo merchandise and sports equipment.
  • Prepare daily and monthly records and procedures for logo merchandise, marketing materials, and other purchases in accordance with CFI and Westgate Resorts accounting.
  • Collect daily written reports about the Fitness Center and Game Room.
  • Organize vendor reports and collect monthly payments.
  • Write up subordinate team member performance evaluations; ability to enforce disciplinary procedures.
  • Attend manager meetings and participate in team member orientation tours.
  • Power and responsibility to cancel various activities when weather or other conditions pose a safety hazard to participants.
  • Cooperates with recreation and non-recreation personnel.
  • Team leader for the Resort Experience Department regarding resort service standards.
  • Contact person for entertainment regarding special events.
  • Stock special event supplies on a weekly basis.
  • Performs weekly inspections of recreational sites.
  • Replacement of nets, repairing and repainting equipment as needed.
  • Contact person for contractors regarding repairs and replacement of recreational courts, playground, dock, fitness center, etc.
  • Responsible for collecting and recording bike log information.
  • Ability to design, create, and upkeep decorations.
  • Coordinate Team Member Safety Training
  • Maintain Safety Training Compliance Records.
