The Oasis at Death Valley is situated in a lush, spring-fed desert oasis, surrounded by the vast and arid desert of Death Valley National Park. The Oasis operates the historic AAA Four Diamond Inn and Ranch, restaurants, gift shops, and the world's lowest elevation golf course. Both hotels are open year-round and feature swimming pools fed by naturally warm local springs. Job Summary: The Resort Construction Management Intern will gain hands-on experience with the Engineering & Maintenance team at The Oasis at Death Valley as they take on resort improvement projects. In addition to gaining on the job experience, interns will also have the opportunity to participate in courses (both in-person and online) and group activities. Program Highlights: Learn about construction project planning and execution at a high-volume resort inside a remote national park. Gain hands-on experience supporting the Engineering & Maintenance team in real-world projects. Participate in site assessments, project scoping, and timeline development for active infrastructure and renovation projects. Rotate through support positions in the Engineering & Maintenance team to learn their daily operations. Attend in-person and online learning sessions focused on project management principles, sustainability, and hospitality operations. Shadow key resort personnel to observe leadership, budgeting, and vendor coordination. Learn to use tools for scheduling, resource allocation, and progress tracking. Identify challenges and propose solutions for sustainable development within a remote, national park setting.
