About The Position

Marshall Community Credit Union (MCCU) is seeking an independent, detail-oriented Resolution Specialist (Collector) to work directly with members to bring accounts current. As a Resolution Specialist, your day will be spent balancing people skills with problem-solving. You'll: Connect with members by phone, email, and mail to discuss past-due accounts in a professional and empathetic way. Analyze account details to identify repayment options, verify member information, and ensure all actions are in compliance with credit union policies and regulations. Negotiate solutions that help members bring accounts current while protecting the credit union from risk. Document everything thoroughly and accurately, keeping records up to date so the team and regulators have a clear picture of activity. Stay adaptable, as priorities may shift quickly depending on member needs, workload, and compliance requirements. Collaborate with teammates and other departments when accounts require escalations or additional support. This is a role where you'll be busy from start to finish, working independently but with the full backing of your team and leadership. Success means finding the balance between empathy and accountability; helping members through challenges while ensuring the credit union remains financially strong.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Customer service experience
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to task switch as needed
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
