About The Position

RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT WORKER RESIDENTIAL WORKER CATEGORY – NON EXEMPT Thrive Behavioral Health, the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic for Kent County, has been delivering mental health and substance use services since 1976. General Summary: Provide direct service and supervise daily living skills of residents within a group home for persons with long-term mental illness. Location: East Greenwich, Rhode Island

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license required or ability to obtain necessary transportation in order to perform the responsibilities/tasks of the job.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the Human Service field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise residents and provide a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Provide intensive education, training and modeling in basic living skills and social skills including but not limited to shopping within a budget understanding the difference between “want” vs. “needs”.
  • Coordinate and monitor medical, dental and psychiatric services.
  • Supervise medication compliance.
  • Produce, complete, and maintain billing forms, logs, data collection forms, clinical documentation and client records in accordance with Thrive standards and state and federal regulations.
  • Provide crisis intervention and basic behavioral program implementation.
  • Transport clients.
  • Review e-mail account daily for new messages .
  • Carry and enliven a positive Thrive image consistent with the Thrive’s Guiding Principles and professional code of ethics.
