About The Position

A Residential Technician specializing in residential overhead door installation and repair performs crucial services for homeowners, focusing on the safe, efficient, and proper functioning of garage door systems.

Requirements

• Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues
• Skilled Mechanically
• Skill in delivering responsive, high-quality customer service.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems.
• Advanced proficiency (knowledge) with Microsoft Office 365.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Combining experience in residential electrical practices of 1 or more years with education is desirable.

Nice To Haves

• Associate or bachelor’s degree, preferred.
• Previous experience with Residential Garage Doors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute new installations, repairs, and retrofit residential overhead doors, sectional doors, electric openers, and associated mechanical components, ensuring all work meets manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and secure various door components, operators, and brackets while utilizing technical support resources as needed to resolve complex equipment issues efficiently.
• Accurately load company vehicles daily with necessary materials, tools, and equipment required for scheduled installations and service calls.
• Thoroughly document all work performed, including details of installations, repairs, and any necessary recommendations for future service or additional repairs.
• Monitor the work area to maintain a safe environment for both the technician and the homeowner, ensuring all debris, tools, and equipment are cleared from the site upon completion of work.
• Maintain clear communication with office staff regarding job status updates and directions and aid fellow team members on other job sites or quick service calls as necessary.
