About The Position

Easterseals NH is hiring Residential Support Counselors for a new home in Nottingham, NH. This role involves supporting clients in a residential home setting, promoting independence, creating a safe environment, and providing companionship. Staff will support adults in two adjacent homes. Easterseals New Hampshire and Vermont serves approximately 18,000 individuals annually, providing services across early intervention, autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, adult day and in-home care, behavioral health, family-centered practices for child welfare, housing, and substance use disorders. Requirements

• 1 year of experience working in the Human Services field
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance

Responsibilities

• Support in promoting independence, creating a safe environment, and providing companionship to clients in a residential home setting.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living and medication administration
• Support and assist with household tasks such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry
• Accompany individuals on outings such as daily activities, appointments, and community events
• Follow each individuals care plan
• All staff will undergo training in conflict resolution and behavioral health safety
• Complete required daily documentation
• Other duties as needed or assigned
