About The Position

The Residential Supervisor I position at the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) in Danvers, MA, is a full-time role responsible for the overall management of a group home. Requirements

  • At least three years of full-time or equivalent part-time experience in counseling, guidance, teaching, or therapeutic services for individuals with developmental disabilities and/or chronic mental illness, with at least one year in a supervisory capacity.
  • A Bachelor's degree in social work, rehabilitation, psychology, sociology, human services, or education of people with disabilities may substitute for two years of required nonsupervisory experience.
  • A Master's degree in the relevant fields may substitute for an additional year of required nonsupervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, implement, and supervise the administrative and clinical operations of the home.
  • Provide staff training and assess individuals' needs to develop therapeutic programs in community living skills.
  • Participate in the interdisciplinary team and coordinate Individual Service Plan implementation.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment.
  • Ensure the provision of appropriate services as indicated in Individual Service Plans.
  • Implement and ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and procedures.
  • Promote principles of normalization and dignity for individuals.
  • Supervise and evaluate support staff and maintain adequate staffing patterns.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain data collection and records.
  • Monitor and evaluate the physical operation and maintenance of the residence and manage residential budgets.
