Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three (3) years experience working with the disabled adult population or related human services field required.
• One (1) year supervisory experience required.
• Associates degree in a related human services field may substitute for working experience.
• Ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills and time management skills are imperative in order to be successful in this role.
• Ability to promote teamwork and motivate individuals.

Responsibilities

• Leading and inspiring a team of Direct Support Professionals (Caregivers) who count on your guidance and support.
• Overseeing the daily operations of our group homes to make sure everything runs smoothly, safely, and according to plan.
• Coordinating services and activities for residents so their days are fulfilling and goal-focused.
• Rolling up your sleeves when needed — covering shifts, handling on-call responsibilities primarily evenings or weekends, or providing support for our clients.
• Implementing required safety drills and completing safety checklist as required and ensuring staff's training requirements are current.
• Ensuring staff is scheduled for required trainings and re-certifications on a timely basis.
• Assisting with schedules and facilitating monthly house staff meetings and other agency meetings as required.
• Building relationships with residents, their families, and your team to ensure everyone feels heard and supported.
