About The Position

The Residential Supervisor provides leadership and oversight to assist the Manager. This position also performs regular duties, works with the respective program manager and Director of Clinical Services to assist in overseeing the residents’ care, programming, activities and other related services to meet their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree required.
  • A Master’s Degree in a social or behavioral science field preferred.
  • Three (3) years of experience in public or private institutional child/adult care for the type of population the center serves and one year of experience as a supervisor, or satisfactory completion of at least one course for credit in supervisory skill development and personnel management, or have 40 hours of documented in-service training involving supervisory skill development and personnel management.
  • American Heart Association CPR certification within thirty (30) days of hire.
  • Training in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) within sixty (60) days of hire/transfer.
  • Hold a valid Wisconsin driver’s license.
  • Successfully pass the Caregiver Background Check.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the oversight of staff and maintaining staffing levels to grid.
  • Ensure all shifts are staffed and can accommodate capacity of program.
  • Participate in recruitment activities including posting positions, hiring and onboarding new staff.
  • Complete introductory and annual evaluations.
  • Ensure patients are attending group and document absences.
  • Oversee and ensure patient rounds are being entered into medical records.
  • Provide needed Residential Care Specialist (RCS) training on rounding.
  • Ensure medication protocols are being followed and action plans are created when a Qstatim is entered into the system.
  • Provide direct cognitive behavioral and other therapeutic services to program patients according to clinical standards of care.
  • Support clinical staff in leading staffing orientation to the assessment, treatment and discharge planning of patients who receive cognitive behavioral therapy services.
  • Maintain and assure consistent service delivery for patients receiving cognitive behavioral therapy according to the established standards of care.
  • Develop program materials in conjunction with manager/director.
  • Participate in weekly supervision sessions with the providers and communicate with the manager or director on an ongoing basis regarding clinical issues.
  • Offer ongoing training, support and coaching to staff members less familiar with the cognitive behavioral therapy model.
  • Participate in Rogers’ program research activities.
  • Document Clinical Supervision and assure documentation of treatment plans, hierarchies and psychosocial information.
  • Conduct periodic record audits of medical records to assure proper documentation for patients receiving cognitive behavioral therapy.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings.
  • Communicate with aftercare providers to ensure continuity of care.
  • Communicate with the Utilization Review department to provide information necessary to assist in facilitate payment for services.
  • Establish and maintain strong lines of communication with clinical supervisors related to cognitive behavioral programming.
  • Monitor the safety of the environment and complete daily rounds for safety.
  • Evaluate residents and communicate to staff observed safety behaviors to anticipate clinical concerns.
  • Complete the shift-end report per residential guidelines providing pertinent and factual information.
  • Support Payroll needs by approving PTO and payroll management system timecard adjustments.
  • Provide on-going education, training, coaching sessions and feedback to existing staff.
  • Attend and participate in mandatory staff meetings, in-services, and floor team meetings.
  • Participate in activities organized to ensure quality of services.
  • Act as a resource for residents when they have questions regarding the philosophies behind the program.
  • Monitor daily supplies and complete the appropriate documents to restock as necessary.
  • Assist residents to groups, activities and appointments.
  • Plan and facilitate education groups/lectures with residents.
  • Participate in family weekend programming as directed by the program manager/director.
  • Conduct one-on-one sessions as needed.
  • Promote department goals and the mission of Rogers Behavioral Health.
  • Demonstrate acceptance and training of student interns in the department.
  • Participate in committees, team meetings and team projects as directed.
