SUMMARY: National Capital Treatment & Recovery—formerly known as Phoenix House—is a mission-driven nonprofit organization providing comprehensive treatment for individuals affected by substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. We are currently hiring Residential Specialists to support our Coed Adult Residential Treatment Program located in Arlington, VA. This 24-bed Transitional Living Program offers structured, supportive housing for adults in early recovery. As a Residential Specialist, you’ll play an essential role in maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment where residents can focus on their recovery journey. Your responsibilities will include monitoring day-to-day activities in the facility, supporting clients during crises, helping enforce program guidelines, and promoting a substance-free, recovery-oriented community. You'll also have the opportunity to lead or assist with Life Skills coaching and 12-Step education, helping residents build routines, accountability, and coping tools that are vital to long-term success. This is a great role for someone who is compassionate, dependable, and interested in working directly with individuals who are transforming their lives. Experience in behavioral health or recovery support is helpful—but more importantly, we’re looking for people who are supportive, teachable, and committed to being a positive presence in our patients' recovery process. Pay: $20-$25 an hour - with an opportunity to earn more based on experience, degrees, and other relevant qualifications.
