As a Residential Skills Trainer (RST), you will work with adults with severe and persistent mental illness in an apartment building setting. By helping them learn and increase skills needed to live in the community, you will help them enhance their recovery and wellness and ultimately their self-sufficiency and independence. You will meet with clients daily to provide life skills training such as maintaining a residence, food purchasing, meal preparation, housekeeping, hygiene, budgeting, safety, medication management, and public transportation. This role also transports clients locally to medical appointments, grocery trips, etc. using a company vehicle. While supervising and providing these supports, you will monitor and document their behaviors, needs, progress, and client administered medication. RSTs will provide personal support and crisis intervention as needed. This position works as part of a team in the residential setting and is provided regular supervision for professional development.

  • High School Diploma, GED, Associate’s degree, or Bachelor's Degree (Psychology, Social Work, Counseling preferred, not required)
  • Valid Georgia Driver’s License and clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Clean Criminal Back Ground Check (no conviction or credible evidence of abuse, neglect, or sexual exploitation)
