About The Position

New Paths, Inc. (NPI) is a growing residential treatment facility with a full continuum of treatment services for individuals with substance use disorders. We are hiring for a PT position. This is an unarmed security position.

Requirements

Two years experience in Human Services and/or Associates Degree in a related field or previous security experience
Experience in a residential setting or human service program
Demonstrate clear and concise writing abilities
Skill in communicating with a variety of people from varying backgrounds
Must have a valid drivers license

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of substance use disorder dynamics and treatment methods helpful
Knowledge of Genesee County Criminal Justice and Human Service Delivery Systems preferred

Responsibilities

Monitor and document client activity in accordance with the guidelines prescribed by NPI.
Clearly and concisely communicate directives and other messages to staff via messaging systems, and provide daily feedback to incoming shift
Maintain security of NPI facilities.
Respond to investigation of triggered alarms.
Respond to Residential Advisor, or other staff, requests for support.
Monitor activities via video-cameras.
Consistently conduct physical and/or unclothed searches as clients enter or re-enter the facility.
Provides guidance in the absence of the Lead RS or Clinical Support Supervisor (CSS).
Attend all required meetings and trainings and take notes as required
Maintain the security of the physical property
Acts in place of Clinical Support Supervisor, if needed
Interact with clients in a professional and therapeutically supportive manner
Perform any other tasks assigned by immediate supervisor
