About The Position

We are a full-service mechanical contractor providing customers in the commercial, residential, and industrial sectors with innovative, energy-efficient heating and air conditioning services, automation and controls, industrial piping, new construction design and installation, and maintenance and replacement services. General Purpose of Job: Sell, design, and coordinate residential installations for the company.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years (related experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education from Technical schools
  • Active listening
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Energetic personality
  • Punctual with attendance
  • Professional phone, e-mail and text messaging skills
  • Proficient with Windows based computers, iPhone, iPad and similar devices
  • Understanding of residential based HVAC systems
  • All candidates for this position should be reasonably physically fit and capable of picking up a 60 lb. tool, piece of equipment or piece of material and moving it about either on a jobsite, at a vendor, our warehouse, etc.
  • Environmental conditions may range from outdoors to indoors on numerous occasions in which you could be exposed to varying weather conditions.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee could be exposed to mechanical parts, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles.
  • Ability to survey building HVAC units for model numbers, serial numbers, and materials to properly maintain the HVAC equipment per manufactures recommendations.
  • Ability to climb ladders, be on rooftops, opening roof hatchets, etc.
  • Must have valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Operate with a high level of customer service
  • Provide design details (including load calculations, installation layouts and designs) for installations
  • Obtain signed contracts
  • Order all equipment and materials necessary to complete the customer’s order
  • Be familiar with local mechanical, electrical and plumbing codes
  • Arrange for all permits, sub-contractors and equipment rentals
  • Produce installation job package for installation supervisor, mechanic and warehouse personnel
  • Schedule installation date with homeowner while confirmation of opening on schedule
  • Handle all financial aspects of sales including, down and final payments, rebates, incentives, financing, etc.
  • Fundamental understanding of computer operation and software. Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word strongly recommended.
