The residential coordinator is responsible to assist the in maintaining consistency in programming, care of persons served, and communication with staff and interdisciplinary team members. The residential coordinator is also responsible to carry out the responsibilities and duties of the habilitation training specialist during all direct care shifts. The residential coordinator is responsible to be the back-up to cover shifts in the event of an unexpected absence of staff.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED Certification and some education, training, and/or experience in a related area.
  • A sincere desire to provide direct service to individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • The ability to make sound judgments when given guidance and priorities.
  • The ability to work as a team member to maintain consistency and quality in programming.
  • The ability to exchange support, constructive criticism, and ideas with other staff members.
  • Be responsible, reliable, and able to carry out job functions without direct supervision.
