Job Title:  Residential Nurse Program:  Residential / Group Homes location:  Ocean County Position Type:  Part Time Starting Rate:  $50.00 Job Description/Summary Provides direct and indirect consumer care and assesses consumer’s physical and psychosocial condition appropriately.

Requirements

  • License - RN License with experience in the mental health field
  • Valid NJ Driver's License in good standing

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical support to consumer’s medical needs while providing education and promoting independent self-care.
  • Sign-off and participate in the development of the Comprehensive Service Plan (CSP) (IRP); Must comment on the plan that the residential level of service is the recommended level of residential care. Collaborate with Group Home Managers and Senior Group Home Managers regarding medical services for consumers.
  • Documents nursing assessment and personal care plan for every consumer upon entry to the program and revises assessment and plan every 3 months in accordance with AMHR regulations.
  • Provides information and medication education via individual medication counseling and written educational materials.
  • Face-to-face health care monitoring every 90 days with each consumer in accordance with AMHR regulations.
  • Monitor and document consumer’s response to medication including presence/absence of symptoms and side effects and report to psychiatrist when indicated (Group Homes only).
  • Reviews menu for adequacy of nutritional content and adequacy in meeting the dietary needs of each resident.
  • Oversee the arrangement of all medical services for consumers in a timely manner.
  • Supervises staff in providing Personal Care Services to each consumer.
  • Reviews the progress notes and logs documenting the provision of personal care services to each consumer
  • Oversees staff training in personal care.
  • Must maintain CPR certification, and E Learning Modules on time.
