About The Position

The Residential Night Supervisor assists the Residential Manager in supervising a licensed ICF-IID program for individuals with intellectual disabilities, ensuring compliance with state licensure, ICF regulations, CSB requirements, and Life Safety Code. The Residential Night Manager typically works night shift and will travel to multiple locations during their shift.

Requirements

  • High school diploma / GED; bachelor’s degree in human service field preferred.
  • Three (3) years working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of working directly with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
  • Ability to lift and transfer consumers up to an average of 50 to 80 pounds.
  • Valid Virginia driver’s license.

  • Demonstrated effective communication skills - written, verbal, person-to-person, and through the use of the telephone and electronic devices.
  • Ability to effectively respond to changes occurring in the work environment.
  • Willing and able to work modified schedules (weekends, holidays, etc.) as required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Residential Manager in supervising a licensed ICF-IID program.
  • Ensure compliance with state licensure, ICF regulations, CSB requirements, and Life Safety Code.
  • Work night shift and travel to multiple locations during the shift.
  • Train staff to implement training programs for individuals.
  • Utilize a computer system for electronic health records documentation and reporting.
  • Respond quickly to correct hazardous situations for consumers and homes.
  • Participate in and successfully pass CPR/First Aid/AED, medication management, and behavioral intervention training.
