About The Position

Originates residential mortgage loans; achieve and exceed sales goals; promote the Bank and its lending services to the real estate community; participate in and promote the Bank in community activities; develop and follow through on all sales leads and referrals providing high quality service. Key Accountabilities Solicit customers by developing relationships with Realtors, builders, lawyers, accountant and business owners to ensure a continuous reference source for mortgages and loans. Conducts meetings and / or seminars to cultivate relationships. Demonstrated ability to meet loan production goals; thorough knowledge of all mortgage real estate loan criteria, documentation and requirements, and all relevant industry regulations. Maintain high level of customer service by clearly communicating terms of loan options available, follow up, and availability to answer questions. Compiles and analyzes data for residential real estate loan requests and evaluates loan applications and documentations for credit worthiness. Prepares residential loan packages in accordance with Bank standards. Accountable for the quality and delivery of a well-documented file with a timely application submission. Outlines loan terms and conditions, and informs the borrower of loan commitments. Effectively utilizes pipeline management to track and effectively manage loans on a daily basis. Maintain a database of past clients for future marketing opportunities. Keeps management apprised of competitive products, pricing and marketing activities. Distributes market data and general loan information to the real estate community as directed by Bank management. Participates and promotes the Bank’s networking, CRA programs, and community involvement activities. Must stay informed of trends and developments in the local real estate market. .Maintain current knowledge and consistent compliance with regulations, bank policies and procedures related to the position, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
  • Previous experience in mortgage banking preferred.
  • Familiarity with lending practices, regulatory environment, and banking products and services.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently in a deadline driven environment.
