As a Residential Mentor, you’ll play a key role in creating a safe, structured, and supportive environment where clients can grow, heal, and build life skills. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication skills and ability to stay calm under pressure
- Interest in mental health and helping others grow
Nice To Haves
- Experience in caregiving, behavioral health, or working with young adults (preferred, not required)
Responsibilities
- Build positive, supportive relationships with clients and serve as a role model
- Supervise daily activities and help maintain a structured, therapeutic environment
- Participate in group sessions, recreational activities, and outings
- Support clients in managing emotions, completing assignments, and developing life skills
- Assist with medication organization and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Document daily progress and communicate with the clinical team
- Help plan activities like shopping, recreation, and skill-building exercises
