About The Position

SeaView Community Services is hiring a Residential Mental Health Clinician for our 7-bed Adult Mental Health Residential Facility in beautiful Seward, Alaska. This role provides therapeutic services, clinical oversight, and support to adults experiencing Serious Mental Illness (SMI) and co-occurring disorders in a structured, trauma-informed environment. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
  • Licensed or license-eligible in Alaska preferred (LPC, LCSW, LMFT).
  • Experience providing therapy in a behavioral health setting.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and SMI treatment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in residential or community mental health.
  • Knowledge of Alaska Medicaid requirements and documentation standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group therapy to residents in our 24/7 residential treatment program.
  • Complete assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and individualized treatment plans.
  • Offer crisis intervention, safety planning, and clinical support during acute episodes.
  • Utilize evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT-informed interventions, MI, and trauma-informed care.
  • Work closely with residential staff, case managers, clinical associates, and medical providers.
  • Support residents in developing daily living skills, emotional regulation, and community-readiness skills.
  • Complete timely clinical documentation that meets state and federal requirements.
