About The Position

Medication Technician Ray House program Pay rate: $23.00/hour If you are looking for meaningful work and a wonderful team environment, look no further! The Opportunity Alliance is seeking a Residential Medication Technician to join the team at our Ray House adult residential program. The Residential Services Medication Technician is a technical position overseeing the administration of medications for residents of the program. This position contributes to the accomplishment of the Agency mission through the provision of direct service providing oversight on all documentation required within the medication room. This position manages all aspects of the medication administration within the program implementing all medication rules and regulations. This position attends weekly program staff meetings and participates in other meetings as necessary. Work is performed, reviewed, and evaluated under the supervision of the Program Director or their designee. Schedule: full time, 40 hours per week Location: on-site in South Portland, ME

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must become certified as Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician 1 (MHRT1) within one (1) year of employment; then maintain required trainings to uphold continuous MHRT1 status.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background, child protective service check & sex offender check.
  • Must not be on the state or federal suspension and disbarment list.
  • Must pass CNA registry check.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and TB screen.
  • Must be able to exert moderate physical effort with occasional standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, driving, typing and frequently lift and carry material weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Driving may be necessary to attend meetings and trainings and for the occasional need to meet with clients offsite and within the program service area. This may include transportation of clients or driving to agency location to complete work. A good driving record is required

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or bachelor’s Degree or equivalent training in mental health preferred.
