About The Position

The incumbent is responsible for the overall management of assigned residential services. Responsibilities include staff supervision and scheduling, ensuring program operation in accordance with agency policy and procedures, ensuring program compliance with applicable regulations, and ensuring that consumers receive high quality services which maximize community integration opportunities. The position reports to the Residential Services Director. OSHA regulations apply. The position is designated as a Level Two with regard to the HIPAA Privacy Rule. The position is exempt for FLSA.

Requirements

  • The incumbent must possess the knowledge and skills to fulfill the job requirements.
  • A valid Virginia driver's license and acceptable driving record are required.
  • Incumbent must be able to work a flexible schedule which includes all shifts, and must be able to respond to emergency situations on an on-call basis.
  • Position requires travel throughout the catchment area.
  • Residency within a 30 minute drive of the group home is required.
  • The incumbent is subject to backgrounds check through Fingerprinting, Sex Offender and Crimes against Minors Registry searches, and any other screenings mandated or deemed necessary.
  • Medical examinations including the utilization of medical tests may be required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in management of 24 hour residential services and a bachelor's degree in a related field are preferred.
  • Medical examinations/testing may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises direct service staff/Direct Support Professionals (DSP), including working all shifts, providing individual supervision and performance evaluation, and scheduling and facilitating staff meetings.
  • Schedules staff to provide appropriate program coverage.
  • Supervises development and implementation of individual service plans for individuals and reviews plans on a monthly basis.
  • Responds effectively to program emergencies, including responding to calls outside regular work schedule, evaluating situations and directing staff, and coming to the site quickly when necessary to deal with emergencies.
  • Ensures that individuals access and receive necessary medical services, and supervises assistance to individuals with self-administering medications, including accurate documentation.
  • Ensures that service delivery documentation is accurate and submits information to agency reimbursement office on a timely basis.
  • Coordinates the recruitment, hiring, and firing of program staff based on program needs and in accordance with established Crossroads CSB policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates services with day support, case management, and other intra- and inter-agency service providers.
  • Ensures program compliance with all applicable regulatory and funding agency guidelines, and works effectively with regulatory/funding agency personnel who review the program.
  • Supervises development of behavioral support plans for individuals and reviews plans on a monthly basis, ensuring compliance with Crossroads CSB Human Rights policy.
