About The Position

The Residential Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a residential program serving individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health needs. This role ensures a safe, structured, and supportive environment while leading and developing staff and promoting independence and quality of life for individuals served. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines staff supervision, program management, and direct support.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum 3 years of experience working with individuals with IDD or mental health needs
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotation

Responsibilities

Supervise Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and Lead DSPs
Provide coaching, training, and performance management
Create staff schedules and ensure proper coverage
Lead team meetings and promote a positive team culture
Oversee daily operations of the residential site(s)
Ensure compliance with state regulations, licensing, and agency policies
Manage household budgets, petty cash, and program resources
Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment
Support individuals with daily living skills (ADLs), personal care, and independence
Assist with transportation to appointments and community activities
Implement Individual Habilitation Plans (IHPs) and treatment plans
Provide crisis intervention and behavioral support as needed
Oversee medication administration and audits
Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to protocols
Monitor health needs and communicate with clinical teams
Complete required documentation, reports, and data tracking
Maintain compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards
Communicate incidents, behavioral changes, and updates to leadership
