BrightStar Care is looking for a skilled residential manager to provide support and coordination of their home care teams for clients living in the Denton, TX area! This position includes coordinating with the care staff and clients to arrange daily activities and community outings, managing the day-to-day routine of the home, and ensuring properly maintained records. Requirements

  • Must have a bachelor's degree in psychology or a health-related field
  • At least two (2) years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities

Responsibilities

  • Create and coordinate the scheduling of the service providers delivering residential services to ensure availability and shift changes
  • Coordinate the daily activities and community outings for the individual
  • Ensure the service providers of residential services and transportation have received specialized training in the management of problem behaviors as required by the Individual Behavioral Support Plan (BSP), and remain current on the training requirements
  • Oversee and manage the residence and maintenance requests
  • Manage the service providers of residential support and transportation
  • Review and maintain records that evidence the delivery of residential services and transportation, which includes a description of the tasks and activities provided during the service delivery
  • Ensure tasks assigned to service providers from the RN, behavioral health specialist, social worker, or other professionals are documented and available for review by HHSC
  • Identify training needs and ensure service provider training is completed in a timely manner and documented
  • Track expenses and maintain proper supporting documentation for invoices
  • Pay bills (i.e. rent, utilities, home maintenance, groceries, etc.)
  • Assist with report development as needed
  • Provide residential services and transportation
