About The Position

SERV, a well-established leader in behavioral healthcare in New Jersey, supports people with mental illness and/or intellectual/developmental disabilities as they achieve greater independence and life satisfaction through a wide range of services. The position is for a competent graduate level (behavioral) professional who delivers care to SMI clients.

Requirements

• A Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in a mental health related discipline.
• Previous Supervisory experience required.
• Valid driver's license in the state of residence.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must be able to complete a physical, drug screen, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Meet the direct service (face to face contact) expectation as determined by the annual goals.
• Utilize assessment and treatment skills.
• Provide comprehensive case management.
• Collaborate with collateral care providers.
• Advocate for clients.
• Deliver psycho educational groups.
• Provide individual supportive counseling and family intervention as indicated.
• Provide crisis assessment and intervention.
• Provide discharge planning.
• Monitor medication education and supervision.
• Oversee site scheduling as necessary and monitor clients.
• Act as a team leader and provide clinical supervision to Counselors and Senior Counselors.
• Perform other duties as deemed appropriate by the supervisor.
