About The Position
The position involves maintaining the property to ensure good working order and pleasant curb appeal while providing superior customer service to residents. The role includes diagnosing and solving maintenance issues in apartment homes, exterior, and common areas, which may involve plumbing, electrical work, general carpentry, HVAC, appliances, and pools. The individual will be responsible for completing service requests within 24 hours and must be available for 24-hour maintenance emergency calls. The job requires prompt reaction to emergency situations and preparation of apartments for new residents following company standards. Daily maintenance of property grounds is essential for excellent curb appeal, and the individual must maintain an operating environment to achieve a satisfactory level of resident service. The role also includes performing casual labor, inspecting building mechanical systems, monitoring controls for building systems, and maintaining clean common areas. The employee will report problems to the Maintenance Supervisor and maintain a good working relationship with fellow staff members. Safety standards must be observed at all times, and the employee will assist in maintaining records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
