We’re seeking a CRA Residential Loan Officer who will help expand access to homeownership in low- and moderate-income communities. In this role, you’ll build referral networks, guide clients through the mortgage process, and play a key part in strengthening our CRA efforts. Requirements

  • 2+ years residential loan processing, loan origination, or housing counseling experience with a financial institution, mortgage banking company, or nonprofit agency
  • This position requires a credit check per 12 CFR Chapter X, Part 1026, Truth in Lending, Regulation Z.
  • Operates in full compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as applicable regulations and laws, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering and S.A.F.E. Act requirements.
  • Must submit required information to meet registry requirements, obtain a unique identifier, and maintain the registration requirements as directed by the S.A.F.E Act.

Responsibilities

  • Originate and process residential mortgage loan applications in compliance with regulations and bank policies.
  • Actively solicit and originate mortgage loans for low- and moderate-income borrowers and communities.
  • Develop referral sources by partnering with realtors, homebuyer counseling agencies, builders, and branch bankers.
  • Serve as a liaison to local, state, and federal agencies, as well as nonprofit community development groups.
  • Provide clients with pre-qualification guidance and recommend appropriate loan programs.
  • Maintain regular communication with loan processors to ensure timely loan processing.
  • Promote Associated Bank loan programs through community involvement and networking.
  • Identify customer needs and cross-sell additional bank products and services.
