Join our dynamic team as a Substance Abuse and Mental Health Residential LPN! As a vital member of our residential team, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering essential care to our clients in our residential units. Position Summary: As a Substance Abuse and Mental Health Residential LPN, you'll be at the forefront of care delivery, conducting daily assessments, administering medication doses, and serving as the primary point of contact for clients in need of support. Collaboration with our treatment team is paramount to ensure comprehensive care and successful outcomes. Upholding strict adherence to regulatory guidelines and ethical standards is fundamental to this role.

Requirements

  • Diploma, Associates, or LPN/LVN license in the State of Ohio.

Responsibilities

  • Organizing and setting up medications for daily witnessed self-administration.
  • Documenting and organizing medications brought in by residential clients or sent by outside providers.
  • Calling in or sending E-prescriptions as ordered by residential medical providers.
  • Ensuring that clients' medication supply is sufficient to cover the required duration.
  • Communicating any changes in clients' medical, medication, or psychiatric status to the unit medical providers.
  • Performing withdrawal scales such as COWS, CIWA-R, and other clinical tools/rating scales.
  • Conducting clinical diagnostic tools such as FSG (finger stick glucose), BAL (breathalyzers), and vital signs assessments.
  • Administering parenteral injections, including insulin, LAIM, atypical, Naltrexone, etc.
  • Educating and training residential treatment staff in various procedures, including taking vital signs, performing diagnostic tests, and supervising patient self-administration of medications.
  • Leading educational groups for residential patients to support their recovery journey.
  • Educating residential patients on medications ordered for them and ensuring their understanding.
  • Ensuring that residential clients' medications are prepared for discharge, including arranging refills if necessary.
  • Performing any other duties as assigned to contribute to the smooth operation of our facility.
