Repeatedly lifting and moving up to 50 lbs throughout the day
Pushing and pulling loaded containers frequently during shifts
Getting on and off the truck multiple times per route
Bending, lifting, and performing repetitive motions consistently
Working 8–12 hour shifts outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
Riding safely on the exterior step of the truck in designated low-speed areas

Responsibilities

Collect residential and commercial waste, recycling, and yard debris along assigned routes
Lift, carry, and load trash bags, containers, and bulk items into a rear-load garbage truck
Operate the truck’s packing mechanism to safely compact waste
Ride on and off the rear step of the truck throughout the route
Assist the driver with safe backing by acting as a spotter
Clean up spills and ensure all waste is properly collected and disposed of
Return containers neatly to their proper location after service
Help maintain a clean truck by washing and clearing debris at the end of shifts
Provide friendly, professional service to residents and customers
Answer basic questions and direct customers to the appropriate resources when needed
Follow all company safety policies, including OSHA and ANSI standards
Report safety concerns or customer issues immediately
Work closely with your driver and team to complete routes efficiently
Be ready to assist on other routes or during emergency situations when needed
