About The Position

The Residential Group Home Supervisor position at Alpha Opportunities, Inc. is a full-time role located in Jamestown, ND. This position is eligible for a $2000 sign-on bonus. Requirements

  • One year’s experience in a related field.
  • Must complete all DD required training within 1 year of hire.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • A caring and positive attitude.
  • Flexible and attentive to detail.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Good listening and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow oral and written communications.
  • Pass all prehire requirements such as criminal background and drug screen.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and auto liability insurance.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification and training in CPR, First Aid, Developmental Disabilities Modules, Medication Administration, and Therapeutic Response.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises the staff in the assigned residence.
  • Foster positive relationships between persons supported, guardians, family members, and coworkers.
  • Empower supported persons to make informed decisions and promote independence in daily activities.
  • Ensure all staff properly complete documentation of daily activities, incidents, behaviors, health concerns, and home maintenance.
  • Ensure staff are appropriately trained in all required training.
  • Create and manage adequate staffing levels and address staff call-ins.
  • Approve Paycom vacation requests and timecards weekly.
  • Conduct or delegate required fire drills to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure an appropriate supply of medication is always available and complete pharmacy reorder forms as needed.
  • Report maintenance, repair, furnishings, and security issues to the maintenance department.
  • Conduct and attend meetings and trainings to ensure objectives and behavior programs are on schedule.
  • Assist in carrying out person’s development and support services plans and goals.
  • Ensure the home is kept clean, neat, and safe.
  • Address staff calls after hours during on-call rotation.
  • Administer or supervise self-administration of medication.
  • Work with staff to resolve workplace conflict or concerns.
  • Review and report any concerns to the supervisor following the chain of command.
  • Maintain documentation and submit paperwork in a timely manner, following HIPAA guidelines.
  • Complete all training requirements in a timely manner.
  • Perform therapeutic intervention, CPR, and First Aid as needed.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.
