About The Position

Favarh is seeking an experienced and compassionate Residential Group Home Coordinator to oversee the operations of our residential programs. In this leadership role, you’ll supervise Residential Managers and staff, ensure quality assurance and training, coordinate referrals and intakes, transitions, and help individuals live safely, independently, and meaningfully in the community. You will act as the primary support to the Director of Residential Services and assume departmental oversight in their absence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience including staff supervision, OR 10 years of relevant experience with at least 7 years in supervisory or management roles
  • Strong working knowledge of DDS regulations and residential licensing requirements
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to coordinate systems, solve problems, and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and related software
  • Valid Connecticut Driver’s License (must be insurable with agency carrier)
  • Must be physically able to implement restraint procedures and administer CPR
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods, sit, bend, twist, squat, and lift up to 75 lbs
  • Requires frequent use of hands, arms, and fine motor skills
  • Visual abilities include close and distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Physical Restraint Certification (within 6 months of hire)
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (as required)
  • Completion of all assigned training within agency timelines
  • Must obtain Public Service Driver’s License if applicable

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision, coaching, and biweekly/monthly check-ins with Residential Managers
  • Monitor and support performance management of program staff
  • Conduct regular site reviews, safety inspections, and initiate repair/maintenance needs
  • Facilitate program alignment and compliance with DDS licensing and QSR standards
  • Attend and support DDS inspections and maintain accurate records of citations and plans of correction
  • Coordinate with Behaviorists, Nurse Consultants, and medical providers to support resident care
  • Assist in the intake, referral, transition, and discharge process of residents
  • Oversee the habilitative process, LON reviews, and team communications
  • Support engaging, individualized activities and community integration efforts
  • Assist with recruiting, hiring, and training Residential Managers and Assistants
  • Support staff development, performance evaluations, and mandatory trainings
  • Collaborate on department training needs and contribute to new training content
  • Maintain open communication and availability for program staff (including 24/7 on-call support)
  • Ensure documentation accuracy and timely submission of reports
  • Maintain resident records, inspection logs, and departmental reports
  • Support continuous quality improvement and compliance with agency policies and state regulations
  • Serve as Acting Director of Residential Services when needed
  • Participate in department planning, policy development, and agency committees
  • Communicate effectively with federal, state, and local systems, families, and internal teams
  • Encourage a culture of inclusion, dignity, and person-centered practices
  • Represent Residential Services in fundraising events and community initiatives
