Job Title: Residential Facility Cook Division/Program: Orange: Coastal Star Crisis Residential Central Starting Compensation: 20.00 USD Per Hour Working Location: Orange, CA USA Working Hours/Shift: PM Shift This position has primary responsibility for coaching clients with their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs); preparing meals, and snacks, shopping for food, and other various life skills. Assist with and supervise meal preparation by current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations. Ensure that all safety regulations are followed and the facilities are maintained safely and cleanly. Assist with client laundry, household cleaning and other tasks as needed. This position performs a variety of tasks to ensure that the facility is in a clean, orderly, sanitary and attractive condition. The Crisis Residential Treatment (CRT) is a short-term voluntary residential facility tailored to adults aged 18-59 experiencing psychiatric crises. Its purpose is to provide a safe environment for stabilization, recovery, and community transition. Services offered include round-the-clock programs, therapeutic and mental health services, rehabilitation and recovery support (including substance use rehabilitation), pre-vocational or vocational counseling, medication evaluation and support, daily exercise, health/wellness education, and crisis intervention. Requirements

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Applicants must have attained the age of 18 years of age
  • Must possess a valid CA driver's license and maintain a driving record that meets the company driver eligibility policy
  • Minimum of one (1) year of full-time experience performing non-professional, consumer-directed services in mental health, health care, or social service agency.
  • Ability to physically assist in lifting and carrying food service supplies and equipment without restriction
  • SERV Safe Food Handler Certification

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year of dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or other related medical facility is preferred.
  • Knowledge of and experience preparing therapeutic diets, is preferred.
