We are looking for a talented individual… This is not a sales position, nor are we an energy supplier/seller. Our team of passionate, skilled energy efficiency professionals work with local utility programs to deliver FREE Energy Conservation programs in our communities. Through the work that we do, we are changing the way people use energy . As an Energy Auditor, you will travel in a company provided vehicle within an assigned territory to meet with residential customers in their home to complete residential energy audits. There is no overnight travel.

Requirements

  • 0-1 year of relevant industry experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • BPI Certification preferred, ability to obtain certification within 3-6 months, training will be provided
  • Well-spoken and a positive attitude
  • A people person, comfortable with the idea of in-home consulting
  • Able to learn quickly and adapt on the fly
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation & no history of major driving infractions.
  • Able to work under different weather conditions including extreme hot and cold weather
  • Sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time
  • Crawl, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or reach often working in crawl spaces and under mobile homes for part of the workday
  • Use repetitive hand motion & use of basic hand and power tools
  • Use of a step stool up to 6' in order to gain access to attic space when necessary
  • Lift, carry or push up to 50 pounds as needed

Responsibilities

  • Learn to conduct home energy assessments & evaluations
  • Record and report necessary data by electronic or manual methods to adhere to program requirements.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems that you may encounter during the installation of energy efficiency measures.
  • Act as a local, customer-facing program & company representative to customers to encourage participation in the program and overcome barriers to energy savings.
