We are looking for a talented individual who enjoys talking to and meeting new people every day, being a detective, exploring buildings & systems to figure out how they work, and problem solving. This is not a sales position, nor are we an energy supplier/seller. Our team of passionate, skilled energy efficiency professionals work with local utility programs to deliver FREE Energy Conservation programs in our communities. As an Energy Auditor, you will travel in a company provided vehicle within an assigned territory to meet with residential customers in their home to complete residential energy audits. There is no overnight travel.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of relevant industry experience
• High school diploma or GED
• BPI Certification preferred, ability to obtain certification within 3-6 months, training will be provided
• Well-spoken and a positive attitude
• A people person, comfortable with the idea of in-home consulting
• Able to learn quickly and adapt on the fly
• Possess a valid driver’s license and no history of major driving infractions

Responsibilities

• Learn to conduct home energy assessments & evaluations
• Record and report necessary data by electronic or manual methods to adhere to program requirements
• Troubleshoot technical problems that you may encounter during the installation of energy efficiency measures
• Act as a local, customer-facing program & company representative to customers to encourage participation in the program and overcome barriers to energy savings
