We are seeking a highly skilled and dependable Lead Residential Electrician Mechanic with strong experience in roughing and finishing residential homes to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who can run jobs independently, lead a crew, and take full ownership of residential new construction and renovation projects from start to finish. No Shorts Electric has been a licensed electrical contractor in Nassau County for over 35+ years ago. Requirements

Minimum 5+ years of residential electrical experience (new work + renovations).
Strong experience in roughing entire homes independently.
Ability to run jobs and lead a crew.
Solid understanding of residential electrical systems, layouts, and code requirements.
Experience with service upgrades and panel work preferred.
Ability to read plans and execute projects without constant supervision.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and leadership mindset.

Responsibilities

Lead and perform full residential electrical installations, including roughing and finishing work.
Rough new construction homes: layout, drilling, running cable, box installation, and service planning.
Complete finish work including devices, fixtures, panels, trim-out, and final troubleshooting.
Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
Manage and coordinate jobs efficiently to meet timelines and inspections.
Supervise and guide helpers/junior mechanics on site.
Perform service upgrades, panel installations, and circuit installations as needed.
Ensure all work is completed to NEC code and local regulations.
Communicate professionally with homeowners, builders, and project managers.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
