As a Field Supervisor, you won't be stuck behind a desk. You will be where the action is: in the field, supporting our technicians, ensuring our standards of quality are met, and helping our team build lasting relationships with the homeowners we serve.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in residential electrical service with a proven track record of high-quality work.
  • Active Electrical License (Journeyman or Master preferred).
  • Deep Technical Knowledge: You should be the expert for code questions and complex residential troubleshooting.
  • Leadership Heart: A genuine desire to see others succeed and the patience to coach technicians of all skill levels.
  • Communication Pro: Ability to de-escalate customer concerns and model professional behavior in the home.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a Lead Electrician or Supervisory role.
  • Experience using digital dispatching software such as ServiceTitan.
  • Knowledge of local Raleigh/Wake County permitting and inspection processes.

Responsibilities

  • Field Leadership & Mentorship: Spend your day in the field conducting "ride-alongs" and site visits to support, coach, and elevate our team of residential electricians.
  • Quality Assurance: Review active and completed jobs for strict NEC code compliance, superior craftsmanship, and Michael and Son quality standards.
  • The Customer Connection: Actively coach technicians on communication skills, helping them explain technical issues in simple terms and build genuine trust with homeowners.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Act as the technical authority on complex diagnostic issues by providing over-the-shoulder guidance to technicians on difficult repairs.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all field operations are conducted under the highest safety standards to protect our team and our customers.
  • Performance Elevation: Identify training gaps in the field and work with leadership to implement solutions that reduce callbacks and increase customer satisfaction.
