About The Position

The Salvation Army is hiring for the position of Residential Direct Support Professional I in the Developmental Disabilities Program located in Bucks County. This position is available immediately, with multiple openings for both full-time and part-time hours. The schedule is variable, and the position reports to Program Coordinators. The salary for this role is $16.00 per hour and is classified as Non-Exempt.

Requirements

• Minimum requirement of a High School Diploma/GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience supporting people with a range of Intellectual Disabilities, including individuals with dual diagnoses and physical disabilities.
• Familiarity with policies, procedures, and regulations regarding individuals with disabilities.
• Positive attitude toward the abilities of individuals with disabilities.
• Good communication skills and the desire to engage people in activities that meet their interests.
• Ability to work respectfully with management, staff, families, and funding sources.
• Ability to effectively communicate with staff and persons receiving services.
• Ability to initiate problem solving.
• Must be able to provide all clearances.
• Appreciation and understanding of The Salvation Army mission.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to persons with developmental disabilities residing in residential programs in Bucks County.
