About The Position

Position Purpose : Plans, develops, and coordinates developmental homes, respite homes, supported apartments and other creative housing services to meet the needs of consumers of agency services who have a developmental disability and/or severe and persistent mental illness. Participates in the day to day program operations, performing supervisory and administrative leadership for staff and contractors.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in psychology or a related field, or Associates degree and 3 years of experience in developmental services.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, consumers, treatment providers, employers, outside agency personnel, and the general public.
  • Ability to communicate effectively for training.
  • Understanding of statistical issues related to research, data collection and data reporting.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • A valid driver’s license and/or the capacity to travel regularly from office to office, or to businesses.
  • Computer literacy and working knowledge of relevant software.

Responsibilities

  • Develops developmental homes, respite homes, supported apartments and other creative housing options for consumers including but not limited: recruitment of such homes and housing options, interview, training and on-going supervision in coordination with appropriate consumer care teams.
  • With appropriate consumer care teams, coordinate referrals and intake into programs for developmental homes, respite homes, supported apartments and other housing options other than established agency residential programs.
  • Provides quality assurance for such programs and required documentation including assistance with ISA/IPC development.
  • Develops and manages developmental home, respite home, supported apartment and other housing option budgets in coordination with appropriate Program Coordinator and/or Director.
  • Insures compliance with all federal and state regulations for such programs.
  • Functions as an on-going consultant to agency staff and other administrative bodies and committees regarding housing issues related to such programs.
  • Signs off as a QDDP to meet federal and state guidelines as needed for such programs.
  • Collaborates with other community agencies and bodies in the development of developmental homes, respite homes, supported apartments and other housing options other than established agency residential programs.
  • Represents such agency programs at statewide, agency and community meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Program Director.
  • Manage recruitment for Shared Living Provider program
  • Mange Housing and Safety Inspections for 100-150 Shared Living Provider homes
  • Manage accessibility Inspections for 10-30 Shared Living Providers
  • Oversee Background Checks for all existing and prospective Shared Living Providers
  • Provide oversight and support to 100-150 Shared Living Providers.
