About The Position

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate individual to come join our direct care team at Chesterfield Group Home! Our program supports the development and growth of young adults involved with the Connecticut DCF who have experienced significant emotional challenges. Schedule: Relief, Per Diem Compensation The pay range for this position is $19.00 to $25.00 per hour. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future. Due to the nature of our work and the youth who are depending on us, there are times where overtime may be mandated.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred. Come ready to learn and we will provide all the resources necessary for you to excel!
  • Valid Drivers License required.
  • Be able to establish clear professional boundaries, work as a team member and consistently implement all policies and procedures, rules and regulations of JRI.
  • Background and driving record checks will be performed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care within the group home outlined by agency and program policies.
  • Support the development and growth of young adults who have experienced significant emotional challenges.
  • Lead by example and role model for all staff and students.
  • Work as an integral part of an active and engaged team.
  • Assist in handling special projects as assigned by the Administrative Team, or designee.
  • Provide physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to provide the safest therapeutic atmosphere for our students!
