The Residential Counselor supports individuals in achieving the highest quality of life while ensuring their safety across all settings. This role involves implementing Positive Behavior Supports (PBS), following Behavior Skills Plans and Dining Guidelines, and completing necessary Licensing and Certification paperwork such as Daily Planners, Monthly Menus, House Meetings, Budgeting, and Medical Appointments. Counselors are responsible for implementing daily schedules, providing job coaching, maintaining professional boundaries, and involving individuals in social and vocational opportunities. Key duties include implementing Individual Service Plan (ISP) objectives, assisting with daily living activities (showers, toileting, brushing teeth, laundry), and accompanying individuals in the community for various services and appointments. The position requires accurate data recording using ICentrixs, providing supervision and ensuring safety in both residence and community, promoting a high quality of living through routine maintenance/housekeeping, and providing transportation. Counselors must be prepared to perform verbal or physical interventions, including physical restraints, as needed for safety, and are required to maintain HIPAA, Confidentiality, and Cyber Security standards.
