About The Position

The Residential Counselor will provide direction and assistance to consumers residing in the Community Residential Rehab (CRR) programs. Merakey is a non-profit provider of developmental, behavioral health, and education services. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean record.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of mental health experience with adults preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with nutrition, housekeeping, budgeting, hygiene, self-care, home safety, social interaction, exercise, health management, and vocational.
  • Transport residents to appointments and outings.
  • Implement appropriate parts of each resident's goal plan as instructed by the treatment team or supervisor.
  • Report the resident's progress to the appropriate clinician.
