About The Position
LSS Summit Oaks is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Residential Counselor/Worker. This role is crucial in making a significant impact in the lives of teens and their families, particularly those facing mental health, behavioral, substance abuse, and legal issues. The position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities, with varying hours including evenings, overnight shifts, and mornings. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in enhancing their education in the mental health or social services field, as it provides hands-on experience in a supportive environment. As a Residential Counselor/Worker, you will be responsible for providing residential care to youth aged 10 to 17. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team, conducting group sessions, supervising youth in community settings, and fostering a positive and healthy environment through effective role modeling. The position requires a commitment to the well-being of the youth and the ability to engage with them in a meaningful way. On-site training will be provided, including opportunities to earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs). This role is not only about providing care but also about being a mentor and a positive influence in the lives of young individuals who are navigating challenging circumstances.
