Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral or social science field OR 48 credit hours of post-secondary education and a minimum of 1-year experience working with children; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required for the residential worker position.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must be able to complete orientation training according to agency program standards.
• Must successfully complete all agency background checks.
• Willingness to submit to record checks to detect criminal convictions of behavior harmful towards children, spousal abuse, distributing drugs or sex crimes.
• Requires a valid auto-insurance and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide residential care to youth ages 10 to 17 that have a variety of mental health, behavioral, substance abuse and legal issues.
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Conduct groups.
• Supervise youth in community settings.
• Provide a positive and healthy environment through role modeling.
