About The Position

The Residential Clinical Director is responsible, personally or through appropriate delegation, for the overall Clinical programming, administration, staffing, and program integrity of the residential program. The Residential Clinical Director works in partnership with the Asst. Residential Director to guide and monitor the treatment the Residential team provides. The Residential Clinical Director also works closely with the Medical Director, Outpatient Clinical Director, and Admissions & Outreach Director to ensure the residential program is running to its highest form of clinical and administrative efficiency. In addition, the Residential Clinical Director collaborates with other members of Leadership and relevant WestBridge Committees to ultimately oversee the operation of the program and ensure compliance with state licensing, accreditation and program budget/expenses. As a member of the leadership team, the Residential Clinical Director is expected to effectively represent and communicate the WestBridge culture of being authentic, team-oriented, and participant-centered.

Requirements

  • Knowledge obtained through completing a Master’s degree curriculum in appropriate discipline from accredited institutions and active licensure in respective discipline (i.e. LCMHC, LICSW or a licensed psychologist, with an MLADC additional license.
  • Skill and experience of at least 3 years in staff management and supervision. Approved or meets requirements for approval by the NH Board of Mental Health Practice to provide clinical supervision for licensure candidates is preferred.
  • Skill and experience in supervising a residential facility, preferably a modified therapeutic community.
  • Knowledge of state and federal rules and regulations governing confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal program administration regulations.
  • Knowledge of facility and budget management.
  • Demonstrates a high standard of professional conduct and ethical behavior that will enhance the quality of care and encourage positive interactions among staff.
  • Valid driver’s license and appropriate vehicle insurance.
  • Computer skills including but not limited to Internet access, word processing, report writing, and spreadsheet applications necessary to generate appropriate reports allocated to the position of Residential Director.

  • Approved or meets requirements for approval by the NH Board of Mental Health Practice to provide clinical supervision for licensure candidates is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes and acts as a role model for direct-care staff in embracing the WestBridge model of care & culture of being flexible, mobile & responsive.
  • Promotes and upholds the clinical philosophy and organizational mission in all WestBridge levels of care. This includes training for staff to understand and adhere to the clinical model of care and applicable policies and procedures.
  • Collaborates closely with Chief of Clinical Services, Medical Director & Outpatient Clinical Director to support new and ongoing residential program initiatives, quality assurance and improvement projects, and to ensure that services provided meet standards of care.
  • Upholds clinical recommendations and ensures appropriate and timely delivery of services (i.e., staff follow through on participant engagements, individual work, groups, FES sessions, clinical updates, etc).
  • Plans, implements, and manages staffing to ensure the required level of services to participants and families.
  • Clinically guides staff through team meetings 5 days a week & 1:1 meetings, fostering an environment of team empowerment, problem solving and planning.
  • Monitors participant treatment provision by the clinical teams per Participant Achievement Agendas (treatment plans). Works collaboratively with the teams to design, implement, and revise clinical intervention strategies based on the stage of change for participants in all levels of care including through transition processes.
  • Collaborates with Leadership to respond promptly and effectively to customer complaints, family member concerns, and community public relations issues.
  • Assesses clinical staff for their scope of practice based on experience, education, and observation of skill. Works with the Asst. Residential Director to approve PTO requests and to review timesheets, ensuring appropriate coverage of the program 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
  • In collaboration with HR, ensure that all staff meets their ongoing employment requirements (i.e., auto insurance, TB testing, valid licensure(s), etc.) as outlined in WestBridge Policies and Procedures, as well as collaborating around hiring & new staff orientation.
  • Provides administrative and clinical supervision within the scope of practice to residential staff fostering a supportive, high-performance team through coaching, feedback, and accountability.
  • Ensures orientation, training, and clinical supervision is provided and staff evaluations are completed per WestBridge policy.
  • In collaboration with the Asst. Residential Director, monitors the timely implementation and documentation of services.
  • Manages the program budget and costs in collaboration with the Financial Controller & Chief of Clinical Services including food costs, staffing, and house expenses in accordance to budgetary guidelines.
  • Maintains clinical licensure in good standing in order to maintain and hold facility licensure.
  • Manages and participates in facility state license requirements including annual renewal applications, state & federal inspections and site surveys, in conjunction with appropriate leadership. This includes assuring fire, safety, health and maintenance items are managed promptly.
  • Supports accreditation survey process with the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), in conjunction with appropriate leadership.
  • In Collaboration with leadership, works to ensure program compliance with local, state and federal regulations, including developing and integrating monitoring systems.
  • Participates in appropriate and identified clinical and administrative meetings, including but not limited to: staffing, safety, licensing/accreditation, and quality assurance to ensure that services provided meet the needs of potential participants.
  • In collaboration with admissions team, evaluates, prioritizes, and plans for admissions based on the acuity of symptoms and social/rehabilitative needs.
  • Participates in direct clinical care as indicated & needed, which may include but not limited to individual services, groups, crisis interventions, and clinical assessment.
  • Review documentation to improve quality and consistency, including but not limited to notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries, etc.
  • Participates in organizational on-call rotation.
  • Pforms other duties as assigned.our annual Family Weekend of Hope event is required for all WestBridge staff regardless of position or schedule.
