About The Position

The Residential Aide builds meaningful, trusting relationships with youth and facilitates their access to supportive resources to promote independence and successful reintegration into the community. The Residential Aide also assists with escorting clients to scheduled support-service appointments and collaborates with the Case Manager, Nurse, and Mental Health Clinician to coordinate family and sibling visits, court dates, and medical or mental health appointments.

Requirements

• Minimum Associate’s Degree in social work, psychology or criminal justice from an accredited college.
• Must have at least two years’ experience working with foster care youth, homeless youth/young adults, juvenile justice involved youth or other disadvantaged populations.
• Familiarity with ACS/OCFS programming.
• Must understand the critical nature of timely and accurate documentation of service delivery and case work practice.
• Must have some knowledge of community resources and skills to link young adults with appropriate agencies and services.
• Must be a team player and have the ability to work independently.
