Position Overview As a Carpenter II , you will execute residential construction work at a high standard of quality, performing intermediate-level carpentry tasks and supporting more complex work under the guidance of senior carpenters or project leadership. This role plays an important part in maintaining jobsite efficiency, quality standards, and a positive homeowner experience. This position is ideal for a carpenter who is confident in core skills, dependable on the job site, and motivated to continue growing toward a senior-level role.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of residential carpentry experience
  • Working knowledge of building codes and construction regulations
  • Proficiency in math and geometry
  • Solid skills in framing, trim work, cabinetry, and finishing
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings with increasing independence
  • Clean driving record and reliable transportation
  • Ability to provide and maintain personal carpentry tools
  • Strong communication skills, reliability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work and heavy lifting on a daily basis, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Strong eye-hand coordination and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Safety & Jobsite Standards: Follow all safety regulations and company jobsite standards to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Carpentry Execution: Perform a wide range of residential carpentry tasks-including framing, trim, cabinetry, and finish work-at a consistent level of quality.
  • Plan & Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret construction plans and technical drawings with guidance as needed to ensure work aligns with design intent and specifications.
  • Problem Solving & Skill Development: Identify routine jobsite issues, seek guidance when appropriate, and continue developing technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer Interaction: Communicate professionally and respectfully with homeowners, contributing to a positive and trust-based client experience.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow carpenters, subcontractors, and project leadership to support efficient project execution.
