About the position

The Residential Assistant (RA) role involves providing support and guidance to residents at the Rose House. RAs are responsible for maintaining order, ensuring safety, and assisting residents with daily tasks. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage crises effectively while fostering a supportive environment for residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to residents, assisting with daily tasks such as bathing, grooming, housekeeping, and meal preparation.
• Monitor resident safety and implement behavioral rules to maintain order in the facility.
• Chaperone or transport residents to appointments, school, and recreational activities.
• Assess residents' health, social, and behavioral needs and collaborate with leadership to develop actionable support plans.
• Organize group events and meetings to promote social interaction among residents.
• Document residents' daily activities and issues in their records, ensuring attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Administer drug tests as necessary to support residents' recovery or compliance with probation or parole.
