Residential Assistant Program Manager
About The Position
Residential Assistant Program Manager Are you a compassionate, steady leader who believes in the power of structure, relationships, and trauma-informed care? We are seeking a Residential Assistant Program Manager to help guide and support youth ages 11-18 who have experienced trauma, while mentoring a dedicated team in a therapeutic residential setting. In this role, you’ll make a real difference - supporting young people as they build safety, stability, and essential life skills, while helping staff grow into confident, effective caregivers. If you’re mission-driven and ready to lead with heart and purpose, we’d love to meet you. Schedule: 4 days per week Wednesday–Friday: 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM Saturday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year of experience in a child-caring or residential setting
- Valid driver’s license with a clear driving record
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in a human services field
- Experience with trauma-informed, recovery-based, or behaviorally focused treatment programs
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to coach and motivate a team
- Comfort with documentation and basic technology (Microsoft Office and related systems)
- Flexibility to assist with on-call needs, weekends, and holidays during emergencies
Responsibilities
- Serve as a team leader within the program and act in the absence of the Program Manager when needed
- Model and reinforce trauma-informed, therapeutic intervention strategies
- Supervise, mentor, train, and support Youth Support Specialists
- Participate in employee performance evaluations and ongoing staff development
- Oversee SCM incidents, providing debriefing, coaching, and follow-up training to promote safety for youth and staff
- Assist with treatment planning to address the emotional, behavioral, spiritual, and physical needs of each youth
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of resident progress, incidents, concerns, and emergencies
- Lead shift-change meetings to ensure clear communication and continuity of care
