About The Position

At KenCrest, we are looking for an Assistant Program Manager to lead and inspire teams in our Residential Homes program, supporting individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). This role is all about creating a safe, supportive, and fulfilling environment for the individuals we serve while ensuring our dedicated staff have the resources and leadership they need to succeed. As an Assistant Program Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing 2 - 3 community homes, ensuring that all aspects of the homes run smoothly—from the health and safety of the residents to the day-to-day management of staff, property, and vehicle maintenance. You will be a key advocate for the individuals we support, making sure their needs and desires are met in a way that honors their dignity and independence. This position requires a strong leader who knows how to manage people with confidence, compassion, and professionalism. You’ll be leading a team, offering ongoing mentorship and guidance, while also handling important administrative responsibilities. The ability to stay organized and make decisions under pressure is essential. We are looking for someone who understands the intricacies of managing both staff and individuals with care. Salaried Role; Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (with flexibility), plus occasional on-call duties and shift rotations when necessary to ensure the homes run smoothly. This position requires regular travel to the homes within the program to provide hands-on leadership, conduct inspections, and ensure consistent support for both staff and residents.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of two years of IDD experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass all required trainings, including CPR, and First Aid
  • Pass and maintain certification in Medication Administration

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Program Manager with oversight of two or more residential homes
  • Schedule and track medical appointments for all individuals, and complete required paperwork.
  • Model and teach the principles of Positive Approaches, Personal Outcomes of individuals, and empowerment techniques.
  • Assist individuals with personal hygiene care, including bathing and toileting individuals who need assistance with these tasks.
  • Transport individuals to appointments, jobs, day programs, and any other community outings, adhering to all vehicle and driving procedures and regulations
  • Assist the PM in supervising Direct Support Professionals and the home
  • Administer medications to individuals accurately and in accordance with policies and procedures, check month medications/mars, and documented daily monitoring of administration and documentation.
  • Maintain awareness of health of individuals, including monitoring for signs and symptoms of illness, or other problem.
  • Has a thorough understanding of medications, behavior plans, and updated IP’s.
  • Conduct weekly property and vehicle inspections, submit maintenance requests and perform maintenance task as directed
  • Ensure the proper protocols are being followed for petty cash and monies.
