About The Position

We are seeking a mission-driven Residential Assistant Program Manager to play a key role in helping children build essential life skills in a therapeutic, supportive environment. If you’re passionate about empowering others and want to be part of a supportive team, we want you on our team! You will play a crucial role in overseeing the Youth Support Specialists and ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents. You will provide guidance, support and leadership to the team to maintain a structured and therapeutic living environment. Functions as a team leader within the program and in the absence of the Program Manager. This includes modeling of appropriate intervention strategies to ensure interventions are therapeutic, supportive, and effective.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in a human service field preferred
  • Minimum one year experience in a child-caring facility required
  • Experience with recovery-based treatment plans and behaviorally oriented programs preferred
  • Valid driver's license and clear driving record required
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software
  • Must be available for on-call duties during emergencies, as well as have the flexibility to work weekends and holidays when necessary

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, mentor, train, and develop Youth Support Specialists.
  • Participate in evaluation of employee performance.
  • Supervise all SCM incidents as they occur, provide debriefing, coaching, and training to Youth Support Specialists as needed to maintain optimal safety for residents and staff.
  • Assists in treatment planning to ensure appropriate services are available to address the emotional, behavioral, spiritual, and physical needs of the client.
  • Responsible for documenting resident progress, including any negative behaviors expressed, resident concerns, significant incidents, unusual occurrences and/or emergency events in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Lead house shift change meeting to ensure that adequate planning is done before shift changes occur.
