As a Residential ASL/Curotto Driver, you’ll be responsible for safely operating refuse collection vehicles on assigned residential routes. You will work directly with customers, ensuring high-quality service, while also managing the performance of helpers on the route.

Requirements

  • CDL License: Must have a valid Class A or B CDL for the state of FL with a clean driving record.
  • Age Requirement: Must be 21 or older.
  • Experience: Familiarity with refuse collection and the operation of refuse trucks.
  • Physical Requirements: Able to lift, maneuver, and operate heavy equipment and refuse collection controls.
  • Communication: Must be able to speak and read English well enough to communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers.
  • Customer Service: Ability to provide courteous and efficient service to residents and clients.
  • Attention to Detail: Complete daily reports and safety checks with accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Safely & Efficiently: Operate refuse collection vehicles on pre-assigned routes in line with Waste Pro’s safety standards.
  • Provide Outstanding Customer Service: Deliver a Distinguishably Different level of service with professionalism and care, ensuring customer satisfaction at every stop.
  • Manage Refuse Collection: Ensure proper collection of garbage, recyclables, and yard waste from residential zones, which may include back door service.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with Waste Pro procedures and DOT guidelines. Keep your truck clean and well-maintained.
  • Assist with Cleanup: Perform manual duties, including cleaning up scattered refuse and utilizing truck hydraulics to move large trash bins.
  • Documenting & Reporting: Prepare and submit required reports, inspections, and documents accurately.
  • Team Management: Oversee the helpers working on your truck during the designated route to ensure productivity and safety.
  • Compliance: Follow all Department of Transportation and state regulations for commercial vehicle operators.
